How Product Photography Works – From Booking to Delivery
Running a small business takes time, and high-quality product photography shouldn’t add stress to your workflow. At Thomas Pitera Photography, I make it easy for ecommerce brands, Amazon sellers, and small business owners - locally in Central Florida and across the U.S. - to get clean, professional images that showcase their products and help drive sales.
Here’s how the process works, from booking and shipping to final delivery, so you know exactly what to expect.

The Process

STEP 01
Share your project details.
Start by getting in touch and telling me about your product photography needs. If you already have a shot list or visual direction, that’s a big help. I’ll review your request and provide a quote based on my standard white background ecommerce rates, or create a custom quote tailored to your project.
STEP 02
Ship or drop off your products.
Once we’ve confirmed the details, you can either ship your products to my studio in Central Florida or arrange a local drop-off. I accept pre-paid return labels, can invoice you for return shipping, or you’re welcome to pick up your items once the shoot is complete.
STEP 03
It's shoot time.
I photograph your products using your selected background, most commonly pure white for ecommerce platforms like Amazon and Shopify. I make sure every item looks polished, professional, and brand-ready.
STEP 04
Receive your final images.
You’ll receive a gallery of high-resolution, professionally edited images within 14 days* of product arrival, ready to use across your website, online store, marketing, or packaging.
*Turnaround time may vary for large or high-volume projects. I’ll always communicate any changes or delays before getting started.

Your Questions, Answered
How many photos do I get?
I provide one photo per product by default. Need more? You can purchase additional shots. Every image includes basic retouching, color correction, and a pure white background (255, 255, 255). Advanced retouching for product flaws is available for an additional fee.
What’s the difference between single and group product photography?
Single product photography means one item per photo (matching pairs like earrings or shoes count as one). Group product photography includes multiple, different items arranged together in one shot (often overlapping).
What if my products are larger than 2 feet?
Please contact me for a custom quote on oversized items.
How do I tell you what kind of photos I need?
Once you contact me, we'll set up a quick phone call to chat, or I’ll send you a brief email questionnaire that will help me understand what kind of photos you need.
Can I send you example photos?
Absolutely. You can share examples when you complete my email questionnaire - the more detail, the better.
Can you include props in the photos?
Not for standard ecommerce shoots. To keep pricing low and turnaround fast, I use a consistent setup. For custom prop styling, contact me for a quote.
Do you offer backgrounds other than white?
Standard options are flat white and reflective white. For other solid colors or environmental backgrounds, please request a custom quote.
Can you do a rush order?
Yes, most projects qualify. Rush service is 7 business days for up to 49 products, at $25 per product. For 50+ items, contact me to confirm availability and pricing.
What can I do with my photos?
Once purchased, the photos are yours for unlimited use - web, print, packaging, and more. You just can’t resell them to another company.
What size are the images?
Files are 300dpi, at least 2400 pixels on the short side - large enough for all web use and most print needs (up to 8″ x 10″).
What file formats will I receive?
I deliver JPG files in sRGB at 300dpi by default. TIF or PNG files are available upon request.
How does shipping work?
Ship products to my Central Florida studio via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Include a prepaid return label to save time and cost, or I’ll invoice you for return shipping. I recommend insurance, as I’m not responsible for lost shipments. Unclaimed products are disposed of after 30 days.
Can I drop off products if I’m in Orlando?
Yes! I'm located in St. Cloud, FL just outside of the Lake Nona area. If you would prefer to drop off and pick up your products with me instead of shipping, we can make arrangements.
Can I be present at the shoot?
My studio isn’t open to the public. If you want to be present, we can arrange a custom quote for an on-location shoot.
Will my images be Amazon compliant?
Yes, all images are created to meet Amazon’s requirements.
